Uptown Chefs was using cardboard labels to set up its buffets: an inefficient operation, which was both a source of waste and a significant loss of time for the teams.
“Cardboard labels were not only difficult to print and reprint, they also generated a significant amount of waste,” explains Alix Swint, Banquet Manager at Uptown Chefs.
Each time the menu was modified, the old labels had to be discarded and new ones created. In addition to being unsustainable, this approach also meant that teams lost precious time that could have been devoted to more important tasks.
