Price tags adapted to the humidor of the "Le Cigare et la Plume" boutique

Located in the heart of the Westfield Parly2 shopping centre in the town of Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt (France), the "Le Cigare et la Plume" civet shop welcomes its customers in a warm and cosy setting. The shop has a ccigar store with several hundred product references for beginners and connoisseurs alike. The team of passionate experts advises customers and offers cigars with a wide range of flavours and origins.

As in many shops, each product sold at 'Le Cigare et la Plume' has its own price tag. However, the labelling system used in the cigar cellar belonging to Mrs Breda, the tobacconist's manager, had a number of drawbacks, due in particular to the environment in which it was displayed. A cigar cellar is a closed, humid and temperate space, which ensures that the flavours and aromas of the vitolas are perfectly preserved.

• The old labels were initially created from a matrix, using office software with limited graphic and modification possibilities.
• They were then printed on paper, a material highly sensitive to the humidity present in the humidor, which reduced their durability.
• Finally, the paper labels tended to fall off easily, as they were neither optimally nor efficiently positioned in the cellar.

When the Edikio Price Tag solution was presented to her by reseller Celer-IT, Ms Breda was immediately convinced of the advantages that labelling on plastic cards could offer her.

• as well as a range of optional accessories, making it easy to place labels close to products.

 "Customers who have noticed the new labelling are very happy with it. They find the labels more complete and, above all, clearer. It gives them a first level of information before we give them personalised advice.

As soon as the Edikio Price Tag solution was installed, the shop set up over 300 price tags in its humidor. They are positioned close to the products using a specially designed support.

Each label includes :

• the price of a cigar,
• its brand,
• his name,
• where it comes from,
• the rating given to it by the benchmark magazine L'Amateur de cigare,
• and its sales code

Although Ms Breda initially chose Edikio Price Tag for her humidor, the flexibility of the solution means she can now label other top-of-the-range products on offer in her shop: leather goods, pens, etc. She is also planning to create a discount card for her most loyal customers.
