What if you used your price tags to enhance your brand image?

Your price tags are necessarily consulted by your customers. Why not use them to promote your brand image?

Your customers are increasingly sensitive to the aesthetics of the shops they visit. The labelling of your products is one of the levers that can help to assert and promote the visual identity of your shop or shop.

Choose a high-quality medium

Your price labels must meet a number of criteria, including :

  • The right format the size and layout of your products. For example, large labels can obscure your products, while small labels can reduce the legibility of the information displayed.
  • A rigid support Price labels: price labels must be able to withstand the numerous handling operations to which they are subjected, so that they do not crease or tear.
  • A matt appearance The lighting in shops and departments can make price labels difficult to read. Matte materials are preferable to glossy materials such as plastic-coated paper.
  • Resistance to humidity Water is the enemy of paper price labels. The impermeability offered by certain substrates, such as PVC, guarantees that the label installed in departments where there is moisture (such as the fishmonger's or cheese shop) will not fade.
  • A smooth, flat surface As well as being water-resistant, your labels should be easy to clean, so that you don't have to do a lot of work every day. For quick maintenance, avoid price labels with gaps, perforations or irregularities.
  • A clear presentation Labels need to be easily and harmoniously arranged in your stalls, using suitable supports. So it's important to find the right combination of label and stand.

To emphasise your brand image, your price tags should reflect the quality of your shop and your products.

Make sure your labels are easy to read

The label must enable your customers to read all the information on it quickly and easily:

  • Adapt the content to your medium Price tags: price tags come in a variety of shapes and sizes (round, oval, rectangular or more fanciful). Choose the model that appeals to you, making sure that it includes all the information your customers need in a clearly legible way.
  • Prefer printed information to handwriting Printing: choose solutions that allow you to print text and images directly onto the labels.
  • Handwriting has several shortcomings:
    • requires the constant presence of someone whose handwriting is regular, attractive and legible,
    • pen ink is prone to smudging and chalk to erasing.
  • With direct label printing, you can be sure of :
    • a consistent, high-quality finish,
    • a wide choice of fonts online or in dedicated label design software.
  • Pay attention to the layout of your labels :
    • provide sufficient ventilation for the information displayed,
    • pay attention to the size of the text: your labels must be legible by your customers from your counter (sometimes 1 to 2 metres away).

The most beautiful label in the world won't serve your brand image if it's illegible!

Stand out

To attract the interest of your customers and stand out from your competitors, be innovative and creative!

  • Customise your price tags:
    • put your logo on your labels and make them unique,
    • add illustrations and ornaments to highlight your promotions and new products, taking care not to overload your labels.
  • Adopt a style in line with your visual identity:
    • The style of your labels must respect your graphic charter: to promote your brand image, consistency is the key word.
    • By opting for a flexible price label printing solution, you can give your labels the look you want: modern with contemporary iconography and fonts, traditional "slate" style with "chalk" writing on a black backing, anything is possible!

Creating attractive price labels while applying your graphic charter: that's the winning combination!

Harmonise your price tags

To enhance the professional appearance of your stalls, introduce harmonised labelling between your different products or departments. To further enhance your brand image, go a step further by standardising :
